Support

Questions, problems, or something that went wrong with a purchase — here is how to reach us, and answers to the things people ask most.

Email us

We usually reply within a few business days.

To help us help you faster, please include the platform you are on (iPhone or Android), roughly when the problem happened, and — if it involves a purchase — the order or transaction number from your App Store or Google Play receipt. Please do not send passwords.

Pricing and your balance

How does pricing work?

Crochet Lab is pay-as-you-go. You add a dollar balance up front, and the app shows you the exact cost before every design and asks you to confirm it. There are no subscriptions and no tokens to decode.

What is free?

Quite a lot, and none of it touches your balance:

You only spend when you create something new — a preview render or a brand-new pattern.

Why does my balance show in US dollars?

Balances are tracked in US dollars regardless of the currency your store charged you in. The amount you paid is set by the App Store or Google Play in your local currency.

Purchases

I bought a top-up and my balance didn't change

First, reopen the app — if a purchase was completed but the credit didn't land, the app retries automatically the next time it starts, and the balance updates on its own.

If it still hasn't appeared after that, email us with the order or transaction number from your store receipt and we will sort it out.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are processed by the App Store and Google Play, not by us, so refunds have to go through them:

Please see the Terms of Service for how balances are treated. If a store approves a refund, the corresponding credit is removed from your balance.

I signed in and my balance disappeared

Your balance belongs to the account you were signed in as. If you used the app as a guest and then signed in, or signed in with a different Apple or Google account than before, you are looking at a different account. Sign out and sign back in with the original one and the balance comes back — it is not lost.

Patterns

The preview doesn't match my finished piece

The preview image is there to help you picture the design and decide whether to go ahead. It is a visualization, not a photograph of the finished object — your yarn, hook, tension, and stuffing all change the result. The written pattern is what you crochet from.

Something in a pattern looks wrong

Tap the report control on any generated result to flag it, or email us with the pattern name and what looked off. Specific reports are genuinely useful and do get read.

Can I sell what I make?

See the Terms of Service for what you may do with patterns and finished pieces.

Your account and data

Backing up my patterns

Patterns are saved on your device, and you can turn on backup to your own iCloud (iPhone) or Google Drive (Android) so they follow you to a new phone. You can also export any pattern as a PDF and keep it wherever you like.

Deleting my account

You can delete your account and its data from inside the app, under the gear icon. There is also a web form if you no longer have the app installed.

Deleting is permanent, and it forfeits any remaining balance.

What data do you collect?

The Privacy Policy has the full detail. Anonymous usage analytics can be turned off at any time under the gear icon.
